Honestly, whichever "language" you were referring to, it completely depends on your own preference. There is no "best" (in the case of linguistic language as opposed to computer language), each has its benefits and shortcomings. If you write in English, you'll have an extremely large audience, but you won't be able to reach out to the foreigners that don't understand English.

If you are serious about the sites you want to build you will eventually end up using several. HTML obviously, but then you will need css to style it properly. You will want to use some javascript and probably PHP. At some point you will need to understand MySQL.
