$50 Logo Design Contest TapoutNews.com

The Tapout News website will be providing news, blogs, information and advertising on the growing sport of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). I would also like a tag line in the logo.

ideas: TapoutNews.com Prepare yourself for combat! Mixed Martial Arts News.

Contest will end by November 2nd. (sooner if the right logo is completed before then) I will can pay through Paypal and may decide to choose more than one winner.

Tapout is when an opponent has had too much and taps the other opponent essentially giving up and ending the bout.


Size: approx. 350x100 pixels for website header and print media.

I like the entries so far. Can you (pigbait75 and Ohgar_boy) add the "TM" symbol after the dot com & make the .com somewhat smaller.

Ohgar_boy I like the clear simplistic style. Cna you add a graphic to serve as a memory point?

Pigbait75 I am not sure that all caps works for TAPOUTNEWS.COM it may run together too much at quick glance. With the logo also being used for future banners I want everyone to recognize it quickly.

ohgar_boy: can you change the man in the logo to one in shorts and no shirt. Most MMA are now just wearing trunks not full karate uniforms.

Aguila: Good concept but I am looking for something less "Karate" even though I am personally a 2nd degree blackbelt in Karate.

discented: Great logo for future apparel and patches for gear but most non-hard core MMA fans won't recognize the move.

ric bia: most on my end like it but I don't think it captures the spirit of MMA bouts/fights.

Pigbait75: I was told that the dark colored person is too small compared to the white one. Can you resize?

Logoholik: #1 I like the striker pose but it is too dark, too much contrast.
#2 The fighters look too feminine and the reflection is covering the tag line. Perhaps shifting the tagline to the left and making the .com smaller and change or swap the fighters with the striker pose one from above.

Note: Please make sure that the "TM" symbol is added to all.
