[req - logo] Mixed Martial Arts (UFC) Logo Needs Re-Design $75.00

CONTEST IS EXTENDED UNTIL 5PM TUESDAY
I need a new logo for my website. (site is down because after the logo is redesigned, I need the site redesigned).

I have attached a zip file showing what the layout of the site looked like and you can see the logo there. The problem is that the current logo is just the name of the site spelled out. (Knuckle Chuck). Everyone keeps telling me there needs to be some kind symbol that is not just the name of the site.

Anyway, I'm happy with the fonts used for the current "logo" (the words) BUT if during your logo design, you want to also change the font of the current logo, be my guest.

For those not familiar with the slang "Chuck" in this case means to "throw", so it is a slang used for fighting - you are throwing (chucking) your knuckles at someone. The website will be used to sell MMA (mixed martial arts) t-shirts (if you don't know what MMA is, it's like The UFC).

Once the logo is finished, the site will be changed a little bit. The current look and feel of the layout is OK, but I want to add a little style, a little pizazz, and a little more of a feeling of stability.

I DO NOT under any circumstances want anything with the look and feel of Affliction or TapOut or anything like that. It is too stereotypical and played out. No pit bulls, no guns, no chains, no barbed wire, no Japanese writing, etc.

Basically, the look and feel of the new logo (and then the new site) will be the Current KnuckleChuck + HitmanFightGear.com + TokyoFiveBrand.com - Hitman is a little more in your face, exciting, etc, TokyoFive is a little more exclusive, elite, etc.

I selected the one I thought was best. Am I supposed to pay $75 to someone else for a logo I don't like and will never use?

I've probably held 2 dozen contests on here and never had an issue like this.

No disrespect to CH or lex

CH, you are of course entitled to choose whichever design you like

Lex, you are of course free to enter and win any contest you choose.

However, the logo was created by capturing or screen printing and modifying it.

That may look okay on a small computer screen, but the picture will pixelize when you make it larger than the original size.

Everyone, including myself, makes mistakes (in my case quite frequent ). Let's chalk it up as a learning experience and move on?

I did not take part in this contest so this is an unbiased opinion:

Creme - your decision was been very immature. You explically requested a resizeable file and you chose a raster image? As a contest holder you should also be aware of the rules and stick with them. There's a reason they are called RULES not GUIDELINES. You also had a wide variety of professional logos to choose from!

Lexnucleus - I appreciate that you're new here but I suggest next time you're new somewhere, you READ THE RULES. Also, you cannot even start to compare your attempt to that of nodws. A fist is a fist and it looks like a fist, therefore it is obvious that there will be some resemblances. I am happy for you that you 'won' the contest but you should really act with more decency in the future.

All - There have been an increased number of contests ending without a decision, ending with a decision which is not in line with the regulations, having entries which make use of stock or copyrighted images and so on. Maybe it is time to find another moderator to help Electric-Shadow since there is definitely a lot of work involved and hand out harsher punishments to those involved?
