Color Requirements :white background

General Requirements : I need a homepage design for a airline travel site, fully coded in html/css. I know $150 is not much for this amount of work, but I can give a very defined spec. so you should be able to design an acceptable site very quickly. I also have plenty more of this sort of work for the winner.

Sites to base the design on:
jet lo. com. au
flights to auckland. com. au
flights to bangkok. com. au

Each of these sites has the same basic format:
* Header with the name of the site and navigation links.
* 300x300 'booking box' with 'Origin', 'Departure' etc controls.
* Lots of links to other pages on the sites.

It looks like these sites have used general templates & just added the booking box & photos - and I certainly don't mind if you do the same.

We have our own booking widget, so you do not need to design one. Just leave a 300x300 area in your design. As a placeholder just copy & paste an image of the booking widget from one of the example sites.

The name of the site is 'Singapore Flights' and it is an Australian site about flights/holidays to Singapore from Australia.

Looks great. The only things I would change are:

Header tabs ('flights to singapore','international flights' etc) - It would be good if the color matched the rest of the site. Also, with no rounded corners or gradient, they look unfinished compared to the rest of the site.

'Travel Guides' and 'Browse Domestic & ...' boxes - At the moment I feel they bleed into the background. Perhaps adding a border or dropshadow or changing the background color of the boxes to give them some definition.

Other than that - great!

Made on wp for easy control and web 2.0 design:
The big photo on the top is a slider where you can display videos or/and images. There where is "map" written can be placed an interactive map.

JanineXD - I find the bright red clashes with the bacground of the clouds (though the header & logo look great). Also there is a lot of unused space where the clouds are which forces the rest of the content to be at the bottom of the page (and in some browsers, below the fold).

kosvam - The area for the flights widget is too small, it should be 300x300 minimum. The site is primarily a 'flights' sales site, yet all the images seem to be of hotels. And the other images do not seem to be related to Singapore.

squiward - looks much better. If you could round the corners on the header tabs that would be great - other than that it is fine.

Gooddesigner - Wow, great entry! A few things:

* Is the widget a full 300x300? (inlcuding space for the rounded corners?) I need to be able to insert our widget in there.

* Can you make sure all the text in the header menu is text & not images (I will have to change the text around).
