Hi all, I see there is a lot of talent here so here I go with my needs.

<edit> IF YOU CAN MAKE THE CUP SIT ON A STACK OF 3 BOOKS THAT'D BE GREAT!

Type of Contest : LOGO Design

Prize : $30.00 usd. PayPal or money order

Contest End Date & Time : November 10th 2006 12pm ET
(may close early if right design is found)

Size Requirements : 200x125. Original work should be resize-able to fit my needs in the future.

Color Requirements : Light colors possibly. I'm not looking for anything in particular with colors so let your creative side come out. Just remember I'll base the rest of my site's design on this logo so colors need to be workable.


General Requirements : I'd like the logo to have a shiny/glossy look to it. I want a square cup in the logo and the cup needs to be a light color. I'm going for a clean look overall the site. I want "SquareCup" in the logo (you can break it up if you want). Also I'd like the phrase "Take A Break!" in there in smaller size or something.
I'd like it to be vector and the winner needs to provide a .psd and .png file atleast.

Also, if you guys could come up with some forum icons I'll pay $10 usd for it.
It should flow with the logo and I want icons for the following:

New Posts icon
No new posts icon
Thread closed
Hot thread with new posts
Hot thread with no new post
Size: 20x20
Finally: Be creative, you can bend the rules a bit if you have a nice idea. NO PM's and ask if you need clarification on anything. Let the games begin.

$tealth: Lighter please. Also the red is too much. Give me soft and light colors. Make cup more 3D and the saucer looks like it's bending down instead of up.
Ralphie: Look at $tealth's cup, that's how skinny I want it.

Lighter. I don't see what you mean by MORE 3D - do you mean so you can see more into the top?

$tealth: I mean 3d like ralphie's cup. His is smooth 3d, like it's actually real. The text seems like it's melting. Make the clolor about the same as the side of the cup (not the edges) and try different variations.

All: Check http://www.namepros.com/design-contests/247319-req-logo-24-forum-logo-required.html I want the text to have simillar style. I like Poison's and Addictedtofate's. Plasticy 3D feel is the way to describe it I guess.

ralphie: I like the last one. Make the saucer a bit bigger so it comes out a bit more and can I get a circle and square variation with some color variations. Follow the link and make the text simillar to those.

dzy: I like the last one the most. The text is very nice. The cup is a bit too pixel-ated. Try a smooth one. If you can do a cup simillar to ralphie's you'd be right on.

is there any color or colors that you think you would prefer to have? for either the text or the cup. even the tone would help because then i can narrow down to what you would like.

Colors: Light orange, light blue, silver. combination do what you want with them. All colors should be crispy and shiny.
If you guys could put the cup on a stack of 2-3 unmarked books that'd be nice. Both of your cups have ridges on their side edges (left and right). Smooth them out.
ralphie: can I get the wheel of cups again? I think I made a mistake when I chose that cup because by itself it looks a bit too skinny. Sorry about that. Also, just go with a square saucer, the circle didn't turn out to be the way I imagined it.
dzy: Try the second saucer on the third cup. take off the effect on the cup sides and make it one uniform color. The bottom of the handle has tiny white dots that make the handle feel like it's not part of the cup.

Nobody asked you to join in the first place so why did you even bother? If it was not good enough you should've just left it alone. You couldn't have done it right even if I put up $1000 for it. :td:
I only put this up because I couldn't do the cup on my own. Sorry ralphie, I'm gona have to pull this off. I'll see if I can get one of your cups for some cash. I'll see if I can PM you or not.

Everyone calm down. There is no need to argue over anything as it doesnt accomplish a thing except for hurting yourself. If a client holds a contest at Namepros for a set amount, all designers should respect that and if the work does not seem to be worth the effort, then simply do not enter or keep your thoughts to yourself. Please don't try to put in any last words, just leave it where its at.

Abusha, yes you can get one of the cups, or as many as you like. If you need any tweaks Ill be glad to assist. Just let me know.

I can't see that happening, you probably won't even return to this thread.

So ralphie, I think you probably would have won this contest... it seemed to be going your way and because I feel I was the cause of Abusha running off, I would like to offer to pay the prize money to you. Hopefully the other designers that took part in this contest have no objection to this.

I do apologise to everybody, my dry sarcastic sense of humour was taken too seriously and that was not my intention.... sorry!
