Hi all, I see there is a lot of talent here so here I go with my needs.

Type of Contest : LOGO Design

Prize : $30.00 usd. PayPal or money order

Contest End Date & Time : November 10th 2006 12pm ET
(may close early if right design is found)

Size Requirements : 200x125. Original work should be resize-able to fit my needs in the future.

Color Requirements : Light colors possibly. I'm not looking for anything in particular with colors so let your creative side come out. Just remember I'll base the rest of my site's design on this logo so colors need to be workable.


General Requirements : I'd like the logo to have a shiny/glossy look to it. I want a square cup in the logo and the cup needs to be a light color. I'm going for a clean look overall the site. I want "SquareCup" in the logo (you can break it up if you want). Also I'd like the phrase "Take A Break!" in there in smaller size or something.
I'd like it to be vector and the winner needs to provide a .psd and .png file atleast.

Also, if you guys could come up with some forum icons I'll pay $10 usd for it.
It should flow with the logo and I want icons for the following:

New Posts icon
No new posts icon
Thread closed
Hot thread with new posts
Hot thread with no new post
Size: 20x20
Finally: Be creative, you can bend the rules a bit if you have a nice idea. NO PM's and ask if you need clarification on anything. Let the games begin.

Thanks Josephine! that's basically it. The only difference would be just maybe not a real cup but it all depends on how the entry looks..
jackie: I thought if I put the deadline farther up I'd get more people to enter into it....I guess I'll see how it goes.

I would think the same thing if I were a contest holder. But it's actually the opposite. I can't speak for other designers, but personally, I do contests in order of the deadlines - the contests ending soonest are done first. You will get more entries as the deadline approaches.

aznchong91: Good colors. Work on the text styles. The cup should be a little tall (just seems a bit short) maybe loose the shadow?
Can I get a saucer under the cup? Remember to do the clean 3D feel on this guys.

dzynd4u: a little too orange and kinda hard to tell the cup is square. I feel like the 'square cup' is not glossy at all. make it shiny and work around with different colors. Thanks for your entry!

Hello umxca, thanks for your entry.
I don't think the red is a good idea. I dont want the logo to be attention grabber. Also, the cup looks flat, try a different angle on the cup. Last, the whole thing should look 3d and crisp/shiny.
