[REQ-LOGO] Logo needed for "2 Doors Media" - $25 +

Type of Contest : Logo
Prize : $25 (see note below)
Contest End Date & Time : December 31st, 2006, 11:59 EST (UNLESS I find one I like before then - with my preference being to find something today if possible )
Size Requirements : As large as possible - High resolution - I'll shrink as needed
Color Requirements : Not looking for a rainbow.
General Requirements : I have two possible "looks" in my head, feel free to out-do me. First: 2 lightly "sketched" looking doors kind of caddy-cornered to each other with some shadowing underneath, maybe in a light sketch-style blue (More gray than the NP backbround...). Second - two solid looking wooden doors (Think castle?) side by side - this could have more color - but still keeping things as simple as possible.
You now see why I need the design - I can sort of see things in my head, but putting it on paper or on computer is something else entirely.
Additional Information : If you think you have the perfect design but want more money, PM me and if I agree on the quality, we can work something out before you enter the contest.
Looking for pro, I will try to provide comments, and I apologize in advance if my lack of design skills makes my comments amount to "Not what I was looking for, sorry".

Doors is the focus, unless you think you need the text integrated into your logo somehow.

Yet again, feel free to use your discretion (Or you could always do both for twice the entry - nobody will go away empty-handed from me for their effort, as always.)

So I sat for about 30 minutes drawing concepts by hand, and was unable to come up with anything remarkably original.

So then I opened up Paint… and this hilariously plain yet memorable concept came into my head:

I will admit I laughed out loud when I thought about submitting this, but then I thought there’s actually some legitimacy in this pixel art.

Obviously I will not accept the $25 reward should you choose this design the winner. Some NP or rep would suffice.

Oh, and the type of media is, well, "media"... As in links, internet, etc. The point is something of a clearinghouse for a lot of internet services, but I don't want that to be evident from the logo or anything.

I gave a try at your first concept. I couldn't find a good way to incorporate text into it, but I made an attempt.

Hey Allen,

I wasn't real sure what you wanted, so I just went with a concept I came up with and tried to do some things suggested. Done in illustrator so you could resize it easily.

edit: I just saw the gray requirement...I'll see what I can do.

Any chance I could see it with the shading a little less dominant?
(Just want to see the difference in appearances, otherwise, this is exactly what I'm looking for - everyone else hold off on any more entries for now!)

I like the idea, but it doesn't fit what I'm going for (Too "high tech" and involved for the minimalist look I was sorta shooting for).

I think I'm going to go with Jim's design everyone, hold off on any more in this thread for the time being.
