This is a contest I'm doing for my best friend. Payment will be from me. He has a fishing club: GOLDEN HOOKERS "A Gentlemen's Fishing Club" - and they are getting t-shirts made. He designed the logo/tshirt design himself in Photoshop, but it isn't quite "there" - it needs a little work. He needs something more professional looking (in terms of quality, not concept). Something that people would buy.

- This is for the overall logo of the club.

- It MUST be something that can go on a shirt, so nothing with 10 colors or anything crazy like that.

- Contest will end 24 hours after he sees a logo he likes (to give people a chance if they are in the middle of working). I will give notice of when the 24 hour countdown begins.

- Feel free to play around with it SLIGHTLY - it must contain a fishing hook and a lady (pin-up style woman), but I'm sure there's some artisitic genius out there that can make it look amazing while keeping the concept.

- Payment ($25) by Paypal.

I bragged about how awesome this place was to my friend - make me look good!

I've seen what people at NP can do in short time (I think they have techniques saved).. It would not be worth my while. I just think that he's done the hard part well - the concept. Should get a couple of good responses I hope.

I will give it a shot. Because this is for print there will be no effects (gradients, emboss etc)as well as no bg.. as in the sample. I envision 1 or 2 colors tops. If this is cool with your bud?

dlight - He likes the top one. He doesn't like the girl though. Can you make her more pin up styleish like Betty Page or something? (Everyone: feel free to play around with the woman's body position) Here are some examples:

UMXA - No go on the first submission.

J-Man - Looking for something a little more gussied up from his own logo.

UMXA - 2nd submission is nice. He likes it. He would like to see:
*The hook look a little more 3 dimensional if possible
*A different women pose - something in the vain of the links I posted above.
*A different script for the "A Gentlemen's Fishing Club". The first time he looked at it, he said it looked too plain. He looked at it again and said he might like it. So if you have some different ideas, try those.

hey I just noticed that the idea of incorporating the hook into the "H" was originally posted by DLIGHT. So in all fairness they should be pulled. I might not have time to try something else but I will give it a shot. I apologize to both creme and dlight. A total mishap on my part. I just didn't notice it
