what a nightmare for me... Last week when the .60 domains were available I registered a few domains
well they showed up as a Success then got an email saying they weren't avail or registry failed.
So I spent an hour on the phone waiting for their tech support to try and fix the problem.

This week it's the same thing. I have been on the phone waiting for tech support to answer.
what a waste for me. The 60 cent domains have turned into a high phone bill.

I wont be registering any more domains with them in the future.
And the domains I have with them now, will be transferred away!

Great, glad it worked for you.

I would just be happy if they atleast give me a refund for the money they took. :(

50% of the time I get a "Registration Failure" message from RegisterFly. They never try to sort it out and never offer a refund. Support tickets go unanswered for days. They owe me around $160 at the moment from failed registrations.

I had the exact same problem last week.. BUT, I PMed NamePros member RegFly here and got the situation straightened out quickly (and for free).

With the large numbers of registrations, the system was lagging behind in the actual reg process.

Let me ask you a question, by any chance when you register the names, do you take them up on the free offer of Protect Fly?

The reason I ask is because when I tried to register a few .info's in the past, some of them failed & I was charged. I got my money back without an issue but I was curious as to why it kept failing when I knew the card was good.

I decided to try something & it never failed again. Instead of taking the free protect fly, I decline it & place the order. All of a sudden it worked without a hitch. Somehow I think the problem lies there as the protect fly seems to be deducted from an account or point type balance you can carry with them. I had 0 so that seems to be why my orders failed.

Maybe this is your problem along with alot of others.

Did you call them & ask for it? I did & got it taken care of with one phone call & it was sent back to my card without a hitch within 48 hours.

Well we as custmers should not need to call. If you offer a service then they should be able to provide. My phone bill from calling them at the moment is probably going to be $100 I have been on hold for so long My arm has fallen asleep.

Support tickets are even a bigger joke.

This is the last time I fall for this!

Total Shame!

Can you atleast answer my question? I am curious if this has been the reason for alot of the failures I have read about. When it comes to any sort of refund, I rather call over emailing anyday. Recorded conversations come in handy quite often & can get things doen faster.

Right now RegFly has $2.99 .net's AND $0.60 .infos. But wait, don't waste your time.
I've been trying to reg 12 names for almost an hour. Keep gettting same message. 3 went through. I NEVER use protectfly anymore, it will slow down the selling process, you have to remove it to sell.
SO, the quick answer is they have problems whether or not you take the free protection service.
They don't answer their "24/7" phone support either, except on rare occaision. I've tried calling them well over 10 times, I give up after a half hour. I've gotten through ONCE, and still got no results from their customer service.
Their online chat is no longer available either, it lasted about a month, but it seemed to work.

NP Member RegFly is your best bet.

When I registered the names all I did was the normal registration.
I searched for the names and tried to register them.

Calling, Support Tickets and then Sending PM's -
all that just to get a 60 cent domain name ?

Not worth it, in my Opinion.

I've learned to bypass Support entirely and go to RegFly here via PM.. works everytime...

Yep, same here... my account got restricted for some reason. plus my domains were staying the cart even after checkout.

I don't bother for support tickets anymore. Just PM him, he's really good and will sort out the problem in no time, the only bad part is that he comes online once in 1-2 days. So if you miss him today you can stranded for more than 24 hours.

With all the bad news I hear on this and other forums about REGFLY I,d just steer clear of them. Perhaps they are related to some other very unsavoury fly everybody detests. And then there's also the old adage "fly in the ointment" to remember. :)

I have tried to renew a couple of domains for a few days but without any luck. (and they of cause charged my CC :)) The domains have now expired and they are now showing a default Enom parking page... Just been on the phone with customer service (they have of cause not replied to any mail...) and was told that due to system upgrades will they not be able to get the domains out of the expired status before monday...

I'm sure they get a good volume from domain traders. I can see trying to keep us happy here in the forums to maintain that volume. However, it would seem smarter to allows those with high volumes of names a priority support person on their own site who had the knowledge, power, and authority to solve our problems.

I do realize a vast majority of first level support is for individuals who hardly know what a domain is or how to use them, but those with the knowledge shouldn't have to go through the same first line of defense support.

As a business person, I would much prefer to do my support in a private area on my own site than in a public forum, keep ineveitable problems from even making it to the public forums. To use a sports term, you rarely score more points by playing defense.

I'm reading this with a sinking feeling in my stomach. I'm trying to transfer all of my domains with iPower (because they are terrible), so I took Regfly up on their 24-hour offer of $4 transfers for a fairly large number of domains. I've received the appropriate e-mails and have started the transfers without problems...which is a good thing since the money I paid is not refundable (in bold print).

Now I read this. What is it with registrars and ppc providers anyway? Why are we constantly looking for a service with competent help or with the features we want or with a decent ppc system?

Sorry...but it seems I spend more time looking, moving, transferring and testing out services than at all necessary.

Since I'm now stuck with Regfly for a year, I hope they have at least a few redeeming qualities.

24/7 phone support is a joke and not friendly...
I have had many issues which I have posted here....and I am not a rookie
Used to have over 400 names there...only about a dozen left now.... :)

Get a flyswatter and (SPLAT!) ...save yourself the grief.... :hehe:

Best of luck to those still there...

I have several hundred names there, also have an account manager to supposedly take care of issues.....but their site doesn't handle BULK MODIFICATIONS....and guess what without that its a pain in the rear......Renewals have been a pain since they are separating from Enom, all renewals are like transfers into their system...

In a nutshell, don't bother until they have fully fixed their system. They also modified WHOIS data on several of the domains for no apparent reason...and guess what to correct those, I am supposed to do them all myself....And the story goes on.....

They have never ever acquired successfully the registration of a domain there for me, .nets and .infos... they have failed over 400 times to register names, 0 successes over at least 4 separate tries. With hours spent using their support tickets they finally have all been registered but with regfly whois info, not mine, and I have to manually change 400 whois to myself one by one and nameservers bc they screwed up. I just haven't changed the whois.
