Nope.
If you own a domain name at Register.com (min. $29.99/year), however ... you can call them up and ask that the domain name be "decompanionated" from its existing Register.com User ID/Account and moved over to another (new) one that you would set-up in advance. That way, if you sell the domain name, you simply would give this NEW Account (with the domain name in it) to the Buyer.
This would all have to be initiated via an E-mail verification of the domain's current owner, naturally.
Register.com still hasn't figured out "pushes", kind of sad really.
Best of Luck.

Thanks, we worked out by changing the admin contact and transfering the domain to enom. A few bucks more but worth it.

Yep, "pulling" it in to Enom (and paying the respective one-year renewal fee at Enom) would be the best alternative in this situation, IMHO. Wonder if Register.com will ever figure out the "push system" (as well as competitive pricing)?

Rightio.
FYI, if you DO plan on keeping your domains/renewing there for any reason ... I just received this today:
When you renew 5 or more Web addresses with Register.com you can save substantially off our regular yearly price of $35.00 - only $12.95 a year for each.* And, you have the ease of managing all of your Web addresses from one place.
* Offer valid for 5 or more simultaneous Web address renewals. Offer good for .com, .net and .org names only.

Please PM me if you need their direct toll-free number.

I am suprised to see them discount so much. Perhaps they are trying to get more competitive

Yup (perhaps), there is little doubt that folks are transferring out to more competitively priced Registrars ... I got this "offer" in response to exactly that. What's troublesome in my view is that this is their defense mechanism, rather than simply promoting ~ $12.95/per year registrations. They've probably crunched the numbers, and are sticking with the "retail" reg's (versus domain resellers), IMHO. Time will tell if this was a wise business decision or not.
Ah well, over to my Enom mine come.

register.com is the first place that I saw that sold domains, and i thought that it was the same price everywhere. Good thing I joined namepros before I started registering any names. It was the members here that exposed me to enom and other (cheaper) registrars

Good point, Kode!
Many of us Geezers™ were left to fend for ourselves back in 1999/2000, I personally registered MANY domains at Network Solutions (and just a bit later at Register.com) at $70.00 (had to pay for two years at $35/per year via check or money order via snail mail). I'm not kidding, they would send you an invoice and you'd pay them through the mail. We sure took some lumps ( :$: ) in the olden' days! :tri:

Be thankful you didn't have to experience $70 a pop, truly!
We've come a looong way since those times, for sure.

Would that mean the name could cost more than the hosting then? I guess the hosting would cost more because the large servers were not as good and not as cheap to make then.
