question Regged a name... 2$ a day.. what's your best random (Or not) handreg that make park money???

wow.. wish I knew how to do that on regular basis!

now I just reg some names now and then for name value appeal/potential (like 99% of domainers do). and sometimes I get "lucky".. and there is park rev money... guess it always make sense to park your new regs for few days just to see.. else u will never know!!!

turns out this one is making 2$ per day on average.. though I onyl have 2 day stats so far lol

feel free to share here on this thread if this sort of stuff happen to you often? whats your best random reg like this and how much it made??? or share other stuff... or maybe your one of the few who learned the not so easy and not cheap (think monthly subscriptions to certaisn services) techniques to know what makes park money before you reg it.... feel free to share tips with the more newbie people here (for free only on this thread lol)...

well.. for now.. I guess I'll just enjoy the extra $60 per month (projection)... I hope it lasts a while!

i did my best to send them keywords I found on google archive research forr the name.. but I think maybe I did worse with those than what originally was there when I first parked the name.. I assume... can't be sure.. and I can't really know what was originally there either..

maybe I'll optimize it some more after bodis has manual keyword changes for clients like you say... they confirmed by email they will have it in few weeks or so.

im ok with whatever this makes (even if nothing) cause I never regged it with parking in mind..
but I guess its always worth it to check our regs for park revenue.. cause u never know.. though in most cases it'll be ZERO.

Not as good as yours Alcy, but I did handreg this one for just £1.00 at FastHosts a couple of years back. It's made $138.85 in parking revenue over the past 365 days at Voodoo.

I almost always park my domains with a sales link for a couple of months with Voodoo just to see if they make anything. Sometimes I'm surprised at what they actually make. If they don't seem to do well parking then after a couple of months I'll move them over to a sales lander on Efty, Sedo, Afternic, or Undeveloped.

I have a domain I noticed with $1 cpc and have another that earned a $10 a month at sedo for quite some time. But have made money with referrals, blogs, turnkeys, whitelabels and redirects using type ins seo etc. If your domain is making money parking just build a site or let it pay for a few others. The idea is keep hosting what you build try and build a network. Most domainers are trying to run sites to. You cannot send any traffic to parked domains it is your domains own merit that makes the money parking if you are using a brand build something else. If you find your click gold you will be wanting to develop it or become confident in the sale of the domain.

i am no expert either... nor am I totally noob about parking.

I was lucky enough to get all my park rev names from other members on np for roughly 1 year of revenue... which does not happen often here.. usually people ask much more than 1yr revenue...

so I made my money back in basically one year.. then its some profit.. but renewals on some 30 names do add up.. so it takes a chunk away... like 200-300.

my best name in that bunch is a .net at around 20$ per month.. then couple .co...

all in all I only started to park about 1 year ago... when I bought those rev names on np.

though I admit I am hesistant to put all my new regs on bodis to try to see revenue.. cause I still want buyers to go to sale landers.. imo sale landers (vs parked page sale banner) greatly increase sale chances.. and a sale will always be much more than any park revenue...

but... I will try my best with this domain here experience, to try all new names I register or buy on parking.. in the end, it probably doesn't take more than few days or 1week max to determine if there is revenue potential... right? still some names can begin to make park revenue after we reg them... just at random moments in future... for whatever reasons. I guess that happens.

here below is my park history since I started... and thats basically for the 30 rev names I bought on np only.. and not my whole folio which I prefer to keep on sale lander.. its not much like I said before.. but its a fun learning experince... that maybe one day will result in more profits from parking.. down the road.................. I think now I am around $100 per month avg.. but it should hopefuly increase a bit with this one new name in this thread.. we'll see...

originaly I didn't park this name either after I regged.. its just that I noticed it was getting visits on undeveloped stats... so thats how I then decided to try it on bodis.

24 hours ago I moved 80% of all my names to parking (bodis)... from sale lander... will give them try for revenue.. maybe I discover a couple more hidden gems.. but I expect nothing like the one in this thread..

so far this move made me whopping 3$ of extra revenue.. from 3-4 names. all the others produced zero revenue!

not much.. but hey.. thats 100$ per month.. and 1200$ per year!

as for my little experiment puting all my names on bodis for testing.. there don't seem to be any gems like my threads here main name... so if I leave all my stuff there I'd probably be just making a random extra 2-3$ per day... from a random variety of different names on any given day... here are the stats of my experiment so far on my other names which were on sale landers before... since I started it 3 days ago:

I made these mainly in 2 years as I said, I made over 500$ per month through parking for 2 years through PC mainly.

As you can see in the above screenshot, It started in April, 2016. I had then only started domaining and had no clue what I was doing.

I realized that there is a way to make money by parking. So, I started looking for ways.

Thanks to Godaddy as they allowed me to test and delete about 50 domains during that time without losing a cent, so called domain tasting.

I tried many things but the one niche I made these dollars was "Pinterest" links. At that time pinterest allowed user to count number of pins. Slowly, they started changing their policies and user was no more able to count the number of pins per pics.

As you can see in Nov, 2017 I made 900$, thats the most I ever made through parking in a month. Slowly, domains with pins started to become expensive at godaddy and other auction sites. Also, I was unable to scale parking revenues further and with time I was able to learn new things.

So, since last 1 year i am no more focusing on parking but still making about 100$ monthly.

I am building my brandable portfolio as of now.

You park domain on bodis ? i had few domains wich generates nice traffic (and i like to buy traffic domains on many markets) but unfortunettly if it's bot traffic or not recognised traffic they mostly ban domain sooner or later. Anyway Your CTR looks a bit too much 15-19% for me it's huge and looks wird. If You asking did we earn nice cash from parking. There are few people on this forum who get more than 1000$ from just parking but i think they will not show up and i'm pretty sure they will not write on this topic :P.

yeah.. they don't pay for bot trafic on bodis.. or anywhere. so if your getting paid then it isn't bot.

this one won't get banned but trafic could just die one day.

and yes, some make 10 000$ per month in parking. a lot is from old keyword valuable domains.. but some isn't... but your right they won't come here to talk about it.

as it stands now... this name is almost making me as much as the ~30 other rev names I bought from np members over last few years.. for total of around 1k... and which are making me around 1k per year also (minus the 200 or so in renewals of course)...

The best returns I have made on handregs have been .in's, in various fields.

Nothing like $2/day though. Most of them make a little bit more than reg/renewal fees. As long as they don't cost me money I'll keep them. The rising Indian economy should float my boats.

I'm doing about a 40% annual return on the names I have bought from NP members, but very small dollar amounts invested. I have offered to buy names at 2-3 times annual revenue, so that return is about right.

I'm not even close to being an expert on domain parking, so I guess I'm allowed to share my experience.

I park almost all of my new names, all at Bodis.

My parking goal is to replace my daily income with parking revenue so I can spend more time with the family.

I know there's a "magic mix" to it but I haven't figured it out yet. Some combination of backlinks,Alexa rank,CPC,and of course the countries that traffic comes from. Plus some other stuff that I dont know about.

I will not use the word impossible but I would definitely say it became difficult with time to acquire domains at a reasonable price in this niche. There were very few players in this niche 3 years back, but slowly more parking players began to enter and bids became higher. Maybe in this niche I will say, it will be extremely difficult for any new comer to enter and make some money. It takes time to observe and realize potential. But there are many new niches that springs every now and then.

So, parking isnt dead and those numbers can still be achieved. But for me, its a combination of many things like time, returns, scalabilility, knowledge, control, dependency.

so i did bit research on this name i regged...just basic unpaid services...and noticed it was bitcoin related b4... so i asked bodis to show some btc ads..which they did..thia helped me up the ctr and rpc

its only now i am beginning to realize the importance of keywords..and how inaccurate auto ads can be ....

i think by never optimizing some other smaller rev names i also have in bodis..i may have missed out on some revenue...

do u guys who are good at rev parking also believe setting proper keywords is paramount to success? bit hard to do on bodis i guess...cause u gotta email support each time

yeah that's what i mean. I got about 1000 visits daily and about 50/60 clicks so ctr 5/6% when i see 15/20% its wird for me :P but maybe depends on domain i wish You good luck and earn more

well... I bought like total 30 park rev names here on namepros from some of those guys who "knew what they are doing" when comes to owning rev names.

so when I reg a name (for name value) and it gets park rev.. then its just luck

a lot of the great rev names I heard of before are just very old very vualable domains (1word etc)... but some people jjust know where to go and how to reg expired names for revenue... versus doing it for name value like most of us

I've not had much luck over the past several years with Bodis when it comes to parking revenue. I used to do pretty good with Bodis back in 2010 to 2012 and briefly in late 2013 but not so much since then. Perhaps I'll test some names out at Bodis after I try them out at Voodoo first. It's strange how some names will not perform at one parking provider but will at others.

I registered the domain for name value and I'm pretty sure it had no backlinks. I believe the traffic is a result of a misspell/typo of another domain that became popular after I registered my domain.
