Reg date of .im domains?

I looked up the whois info for a couple of .im domains and it doesn't show the registration date. Anyone knows where to find the reg date of .im domains?

I used www.who.is and also never got the info.

I searched and found this: https://www.nic.im/public/whois.mth

I checked a random name with this, and saw 11/09/2013 for that random name.

Thanks 3D... just checked it out, and although it shows the expiry date and is a lot cleaner than most whois websites I've seen, it doesn't show the reg date at all...

Odd... doesn't the .im registry keep track of reg dates?

I misunderstood your question initially-sorry.

It is odd that they don't show reg dates for the domains. Only the expiration date.

I wonder why the registry decided to leave that out?

A lot of people check the reg date before making a domain purchase. For those of us holding aged .ims, it sucks.. but for the rest of us, it's an opportunity. You could buy a domain today and sell it tomorrow and no one will know it was hand regged :p

Still, if anyone finds out how we can view the reg date, please do let me know! Post here or PM me if you see this much later on and don't want to bump an old thread.

Another similar case: when you check whois for .lu domains, the web interface does not show the registration date either, but the information exists.
If you query the whois server from the command line instead (in telnet mode), you will see this info.

Unfortunately, in the case of .im, telnet doesn't yield more data.
Contact the .im registry, maybe they'll help.

Looks like age is nothing but a number for the .im registry. :D

The age factor is important for purposes of credibility. Without it, you can reg and develop a .im domain today and claim you've been online for a couple of years.
