I finally got sick of all the junk on my computer and today, for the first time in about a year, Im reformatting it all.

But I need your opinions. I am always getting those browser hijack attempts using IE. What would you all suggest I use instead?

Remember - I am very much the Microsoft B**** and havent used anything other than IE before, really.

An important part must be an inbuilt pop up killer, or at least as an easy ad-on.

Cheers!

Get a google toolbar for pop up killer.
Windows if properly updated and If u clean your temp files and History . U will minimize Hijick attempts.
Get a good antivirus and keep it updated.(It do makes the system slow)
Get a critical update CD from Microsoft. ( They send it free to anyone how ask for it, This was you can keep your computer clean)...

I have three my harddisk into three drives.. And to make my computer fast i do reformat it as and when neeeded. Its takes a hour or so to get it back to work.

Best of luck with yours...

I just installed Netscape7.2, and it has a built-in pop-up killer (including a realtime kill-count display). Since you're on IE, you don't have tabbed browsing, which is absolutely indispensable now to my work. I'll also be using the bundled email client, since its much more flexible for multiple-email accounts.

List of features here - http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/browsing.jsp

Good luck! :tu:
