Does anyone know if adding the Firefox referrals and Adsense referrals counts as one of your ad blocks?

Actually looks like it doesn't just recieved this email from G regarding this issue

You're welcome to place one referral button for each product on any of
your pages. In addition, publishers may place up to three regular ad units
and one link unit on one web page.

hm.. I thought I remembered reading in the TOS that they counted as ad units.

I guess I was wrong.
