Redirect or Park

What do you think of 301 redirecting a few domains to another domain you own that has an established website along the same theme keywords. I just thought it could be worth considering to do this until you get around to developing the domain since parking doesn't always work for some domains. But I guess this is more like a temporary redirect (302) which could be anything from a few days to months. Things to consider are search engine acceptability, indexing and traffic.
