Recieving Mass Spamming

In the last week, A few wordpress sites I have are getting spammed all day long, and also a site I have with a small forum thats also getting hammered, much more in the last week than ever before? Any thoughts.

Anyone know how to stop malicious spamming on Wordpress?

If you do not have the akismet plugin already, then I suggested you add it, it works like a charm!

If you have, then I have no idea! Akismet catches 99% of spam for me.

It is indeed free - and they have modules for every popular CMS and blog out there. There is simply no better defense against comment spam out there. But better than that, it stops other types of shenanigans as well.
