Hey everyone,
I've had a Google Checkout account since they opened but haven't used it for anything. After reading some of the former paypal employee stories and everything, I decided to check it out again. It seems like a viable solution for payments. It allows you to have buy now buttons, integrate with your website, or you can just send invoices. When you're paid, the funds are depositied into your Checking or Savings account.

Now, the question is...how many of you would be willing to pay for a domain with your credit card via google checkout?

I voted yes. Google Checkout has a lot of potential... and it's probably a boatload safer than PayPal.

I would have used google but its only avaible to us sellers

One of the companies I often purchase electronics from in the states is ecost.com.
They are a reasonable big company and they use google checkout.
If they trust it I see no reason not to.

To the people who said no: Mind sharing why? I'm just trying to get a general opinion before I start using it.

I voted no because I have never needed it and don't need it. It just doesn't add any features that make it special. (It does, but not any features that I need to make it special.)

I would use it to buy a domain if the seller insisted, but I would prefer to use PayPal.

It wasn't everything that the GBuy hype had made me hope it would be. As a buyer, it doesn't offer much anything new.
