I wonder if it is OK to drive traffic to my affiliate site using PPC advertising programs, e.g. Adwords?

I believe that using any ad program is fine for an affiliate site....

Yes it is legal, as far as I know. I have also heard people being really successful marketing their affiliates this way.

Usually, thats allowed. However check on the merchant's policies - among other things, they may have a list of prohibited keywords (keywords affiliates may not bid on).

Some have a no PPC clause in their agreement. Just check out each one one individually.

I think it is 100% legal and allowed. Only thing is they have a list of keywords for which you could not bid in PPC.

It is almost always allowed but some company's don't like you bidding on your trademarks, - ie; Netflix.

It's 100% legal. When you click a Google Ads link, do you see any websites with no Ads on them? Most of them have Ads, so you can do the same too.

I only have been dealing wit ticket broker affiliate programs and most of them let you do it. You have to read their guidelines thet will tell you which keywords can/cannot be used.

You can of course use your affiliate links to advertise via Google adwords,
make sure your are using the right landing pages for the keywords, and don’t pay to much for you clicks they can really mount up quickly .
