I have some questions about parking domains. I'm very new to this so apologies if I sound stupid lol.

Do extensions such as .info and .net matter as much when it comes to parking domains? Will they still generate decent revenue?

Also does having hyphens in your domain name affect revenue?

most parked sites that generate revenue are .com and have no hyphens. nobody is going to type a name into their search bar with a hyphen.

Okay thanks urljunky.

Also, if a domain has no backlinks is that a good or bad thing?

And how accurate are the stats on expireddomains.net?

best to seek domains with "type-in" traffic, as once a webmaster removes a backlink, that traffic dies.

Biggie is correct. Best to search Type in traffic and when you want to get some Typo (Type in) traffic count approx. 1 year of money and time thrown away, BUT after that you could get skilled. I can stil find good typos nowdays, but I ve had to spend a lot of money in the "learning process"

Agree with the comments above, although I've always favoured backlinks. It's probably good to have a mix.

These are really the only 2 ways of legitimately making income from PPC parking.

1. Type in traffic
2. Existing backlinks

Type in traffic broadly falls into:
Generic words that people will type ''.com'' after, or
Misspelled versions of an existing site

If it's the former then it has to be .com
If it's the latter then (usually) it's whatever the extension of the original site is in. Be very careful with trademarks.

Quality backlinks are great but will gradually disappear over time.

Just 1 more thing, BL have to be relevant. Ive had many High CPC domains in accident attorney, health and finance niche, some were getting 10 uniques per day, but in a whole year they didnt get a single click.

Okay thanks. And how can I identify relevant backlinks?
