How is the idea of creating a new auction platform ? Will people use it? What kind of features would you like for it to have ?

I am asking these questions because i am making one from scratch.

That sounds like a good idea. As long as you're willing to take domainers' input into consideration and put out a good, safe, easy-to-use site that people are comfortable working with, you'll do fine.

A built-in escrow service and support for multiple payment types is important.

It would be difficult for me to integrate an escrow service because that service is not available in my country ( Romania ) --> 12/17/2008 9:31:55 AM: Your access to Escrow.com has been denied.

I will use paypal and moneybookers. Also I will be looking for good staff, because the main idea will be something like sedo, the transaction I mean.

Unless you have a lot of money to spend on advertising, I wouldn't waste your time. Sellers won't list domains unless there are a lot of buyers bidding high prices, and buyers won't come unless there are a lot of sellers. It is very difficult to start an auction site.

What part of Romania are you from? I've been to Bucharest a few times.
