Question on Sedo...

Has anyone listed a domain that more than a couple hours to verify? I've had one there for 2 days now and they're apparently still unsure about it. It's not like there is anything questionable about the site, its lyrics related =\. Any ideas?

When I register a domain, I typically have to wait 2-3 days before submitting it to Sedo, or else their system can't confirm me as the owner. I don't know why the lag is so long.

At worst, you'll soon get an email from them asking you to prove that you own it. You can either send them an email from that domain's administrative address or else change the DNS to the Sedo parking nameservers.

Yeah I played around with the idea of parking but I don't have any of my other domains parked there. I wasn't looking forward to their awesome ppc. Thanks for the info.

Hi,

Some domains can verify almost instantly and others take days. I emailed Sedo support about this a while back. They said it's dependent on the registrar.

Seems odd as domains with the same registrar that were registered and entered on the same day can verify days apart

Yeah thats what had me so curious about it. It was entered with a list of other domains and none of the others took longer than 10 mins. Oh well, thanks for the info, maybe that old adage of quality takes time applies here lol.
