there is a domain someone have registered via godaddy private registration. And there is a client of mine that would like to obtain the domain also as a private person. Obvious reason - he doesnt want to get ripped off. Domain is not developed, but never advertised for sale also. My question is how do i send an offer and remain an anonymous via godaddy? When i buy "send an offer" for $59 from godaddy, do they keep my identity private or do they go tell who exactly are after their domain? thanks

I would send an inquiry to the privacy first. They may have turned on to receive the emails. The few offers I've had via their send an offer program, I couldn't tell who the buyer was. But I'm not sure if they do any more than sending to the privacy address, like you did. You should ask GoDaddy about that before you buy.

I agree with @stub - When you use DomainsbyProxy via GoDaddy - Emails sent to the privacy email will normally get sent to the email on the whois. I'd probably try contacting them through that email address first. If not, contact GoDaddy and make sure it would actually be 'private'
