Question Closeout .com reg

Hi All, I have been away a while due to health. I went to purchas a closeout for around $17 aud which is 11USD, which is fine however the .com renewal was around $36 AUD. Is this right. I cant reall. I always remembered the costs being the auction cost + the reg cost of arounf $10-12 USD. So I would have thought the AUD cost for reg would be $17-$19 not $36 AUD. Appologies if I have missed anything my memory is not what it was.

Maybe it was always like this. Any help refeshing my old mind is grateful thanks all
