I registered many .work domains with the cheapest registrar, but I want to move these domains to the better registrar as soon as possible. I assumed that 60 days is the ICANN rule for all extensions. But looking at the help and FAQ today on the cheap registrar it says: "The transfer of a domain with the extension .com-, .net-, .org-, .biz-, .info or.mobi is not possible until a period of 60 days has elapsed following the date of the first registration."

I know it is a bit of a dumb question. Does anyone know whether it is possible to transfer NGTLDs before the 60 day mark? Thanks!

After a little digging I did not find clear information about transfer requirements after registration for this ngTLD. What I found though is that after transfer the domain is locked for 60 days, which is the standard period for major extension. So the logic dictates that the same rule would apply for transfer after initial registration.

Of course that is pure assumption, anyone is free to correct me :)

It depends on the operator in part but also the registrar may have their own policy. It's usually between 30-60 days for new registrations but internal pushes are always unrestricted unless the registrar is exceptionally useless.
