Hi, I have a question about my web hosting.

How cay I create a login box when someone access to my website? Say, I don't want everyone to be able to view the folder http://www.domain.com/picture

How should I configure the settings so that when people visit that url, there'll be a login box poping up and requiring you to enter username and password?

Thank you in advance.

Hi - Well you can either use something like this http://www.webmaster-toolkit.com/htaccess-generator.shtml, read up on .htaccess and do it manually or if you look in your cpanel (or whichever admin system you use) you'll most likely see something called 'password protect folders' or similar and that will allow you to set up basic secuirty on folders using .htaccess.

Good luck

Thank you Lux for your fast and detailed reply.
I found the password protect under my cpanel and have set it up.

Namepros is really nice with lots of kind members around.
