Question About Forwarding Domain Names

I'm very computer-unfriendly, so I'm hoping some computer whiz will take mercy on my soul and answer a question about domain-name forwarding--specifically,

when you are forwarding your domain name to a new server, do you have to erase the two "old" nameservers and type the new ones in the just-created spaces, or do you have to add the two new nameservers to the two old ones?

I've tried both ways, and I get an "errors detected" message, but the current domain name site doesn't specify what errors I've committed. I tried to URL forward these names, which worked with other domain name sites--but this site tells me I must change nameservers.

Any help will be much appreciated.

When you change NS, you should erase the two old Nameservers and input the two new Nameservers you have got, and it takes up to 24 hours to work.

When you use URL forward, normally you should use the domain registrar's default NS to let the URL forwarding service works.
