Hey guys, newb quesiton here. I'm new to the domaining business and still just learning the basics, not to involved yet. One thing I've been doing to learn the business is watching auctions on namejet/dropcatch and then comparing to what is selling on godaddy/sedo. One thing I've noticed is that most of the time a name will sell on namejet/dropcatch for about the same price similar domains are going for on godaddy/sedo. I'm wondering how any one could make a profit selling on auction sites like godaddy/sedo if they're selling for the same price they bought the domain for. Only thing I can think of is maybe they're in no rush to sell and will hold the name for a few years in hopes that the prices goes up for said domains? Thanks in advance!

There are so many business models involved in Domaining - As you said one of them is "buy low sell high" as in trading :)
