Question about domain

I recently bought the domain mailnits.com from a recently droped list because it said the alexa ranking was high
the whois says it is
Alexa Trend/Rank: #35,382 10 ranks over the last three months.

but when i search elexa it comes up with that but says download.com

I dont understand this? can anyone explain? O.o

You can use estibot to verify the traffic.

"Sorry, Traffic Rank and daily traffic cannot be validated.

The domain mailnits.com displays traffic rank that actually belongs to the domain dowload.com. "

The Alexa Rating is wrong

It seems the domain was used to redirect to something on download.com

That's what we call fake Alexa rank. If a domain is forwarded, the Alexa rank and Google page rank will reflect that of the destination domain. If you forward TSLDFJKSDJKTSLJKDT.biz to Google.com, eventually it will show a PR10 and an absurd Alexa rank. Make sure you check those two things before buying anything.

U register the domain on dropped list so I assume that you are not getting them from drop company like snapnames what you can do now is delete the domain and request refund. I hope that your registrar allow that. If not buy this as a lesson.

You can't delete names picked up at Snapnames and NameJet and get a refund...
