Question about domain tasting

Does anyone know the status of domain tasting? Which registrars still allow it?

I have looked on several registrars but they have no information on their sites.

I order about 10 domains a day, and want to cancel the orders of about 5 domains a day, what is the best place to do this? A 1-2 dollar fee is okay with me.

Registrars are only allowed to drop a very small percentage of domains in the RGP period. This is something they no longer pass along to it's customers.

If you owned your own registrar, you could drop some and get a refund but the main registrars will not allow it any more.

Even at Dynadot, a refund is not guaranteed. If you're seeking refunds for five domains a day, you're probably out of luck, for ICANN has pretty much put the lid on domain tasting on a mass scale.

I suspect that refunds are now limited to the occasional unintended misspelling.

You might have to change your business model and do your research before registering domains. There are ways to do that without attracting domain spies.
