Question about changing registrant info before transfering?

I was wondering if I change the registrant address information before transfering a domain to another registrar if that would slow down the transfer process at all? I wouldn't be changing the email or name, just the address information.

I don't think it should be a problem. It should only takes minutes to update the info then you should be able to transfer it with no problem. Then again it depends which current registrar you're transferring from.

Since you will transfer it out you don't really need to change anything. You can do that to your new registrar once transferred.

The reason i wanted to change the info is because i got a one of those ceritified offers from netsol. They send a check to the registrant address and its out of date. I just don't want to change the info and then not be allowed to transfer the domain for 60 days or something.

I'm assuming that you are changing the previous owner registrants info. to your info that for the domain that now you owned right?

If that's the case it should be fine.
