Ok, here's the deal. My mate owns Monkeh.net and a friend of his, from a well know UK Gaming clan, owned the domain Monkeh.com

Apparently, he's sold it a few mths ago for £30,000
Now, I'm not calling him a lier, as apparently, he showed my mate proof. However, wiht a bit of research, it's now owned by a startup web hosting company in Plymouth (uk) who havent even built their hosting site yet, and have a room on IRC in Quakenet (an established gamer network) which leads me to believe the company is a small one man band.

Based on that, why and how would they buy it for £30k?

Anyone with any ideas. I mean, it's areasonable sale size, so maybe someone has heard something?

Chrs

Maybe so, and they have the classic "Spank the Monkey" at the site now....but even so, 30k for that...I cant believe it!

Or Rather, it doesnt add up.

Wow.. big ticket price for such a domain..
Did it have existing traffic on Monkeh.com

Maybe your pal with the .net has a good chance at a big ticket sale of his domain as well..??

WEll, this is the funny part of it.

He no longer owns it. He re-reged a load, but now, he's lost his access and the Support center isnt replying to his emails.

He's also lazy. He had about 500 domains at one point, with a fair # of 3 letter domains, but most have been swuipped now without any mails or anything.

All part of the fun i guess.. :)
