Rumors finally become truth.
.cn promotion deadline will be 31th.December,the reason quoted by senior officer of CNNIC is just:It is required by .cn users to extend the promotion.
I also read report that there are nearly 5 million .cn now

The problem is I have no idea which name can be regged now,and is there any trend or directions that anybody can show me?

They also said .de and .co.uk were using such great promotion and get great success.

So what is the future of .cn ?

I am puzzled,I am afraid if there is bubbles or many people will not renew these promotion names and....result is not good.
Note:Althoug I provide cheap .cn names registering, am not spamming here, just
show the question for discussion.

I am not sure that .de or .co.uk had lots of promotion. Their growth (and strength) is that they were organically used from 1994 onwards, so many end users registered and used names as well as speculators.

New 'releases' are often grabbed en mass by trademark holders and speculators, which generally result in redirects being in place to existing sites and higher registration costs for latecomers. This does not help the development of the new releases, and if you note .co.uk and .de have been around since the early/mid 90's it has taken them 15 years to get where they are today with no such hinderence.

As for .cn , if 5 million are already registered I would fear that the boat has already been missed.

It is like comparing Apples and Oranges.

How many of those provinces have internet connectivity penetration as compared to Germany and the UK?

Size means nothing - I am out in Australia currently and it is a massive place, however just because the Great Sandy Desert is bigger than the UK doesnt mean that the kangeroos there use the internet as much.

smallbusiness .com.cn is right

only the KEY word English .cn makes much sense.
your name resell price is less than $1 in China domain market, but if you develope it..
it will bring you more ROI.
Or worthless.

I think .cn will fail.
All good names were grabbed by registrars, such as 35.com, hichina.com, they have connections with CNNIC.
All famous TMs were stealed by registrars or domainers.
If you want to start a business and register a .cn domain name, you will find it has been registered.
