Purchased 4ot.com @ GoDaddy Today then They Took it back

Has anyone else had this problem?

Purchased the great name 4ot.com @ Godaddy Today, Even Got my receipt then They sent:

Dear David Crutcher,

The following domain name has failed to be registered:

4OT.COM

Error: 4OT.COM: cannot register - already registered

We will evaluate this error and retry the registration
if appropriate.

If we are unable to successfully register the domain
name, your account will be credited accordingly. Please
allow one business day for the refund to be processed.

I just got off the phone and they said it's owned by WildWestDomains which is their sister company..I've bought over 1000 names from Godaddy over the last couple of years and never anything like this..Just happened to be a problem with a 3 character .com........This was no back order, it showed available for register.

I wasn't really mad at Godaddy until they sent me this email:

That's really BS, They should send an email stating if they were able to get the name or not...apologizing for the inconvenience. Not that the item was cancelled from my account per my request.

Is that their way of covering up their mistakes? blame it on me...

I called and complained about the email, He said it's just an automated email that goes out and that this happens approx 1 out of every 20,000 purchases. :yell:
