example: I can use gname.com with my account, solve the captcha and download the file.

However, I am looking for a way to automate this download.
Are there any Registrars or other providers that allow automated download of these droplists ?

I understand payment may be needed.

If your goal is to automate droplist downloads without dealing with CAPTCHA, the easiest solution is to use a provider that offers an API or scheduled data feeds instead of manual downloads. One option is to use the data export from ExpiredDomains.net which provides very comprehensive drop lists and can be exported as CSV for automated processing.

Another method many investors use is to pull daily zone files through ICANN (CZDS). With zone files you can automatically compare daily snapshots and detect domains that are deleted or about to drop. If you specifically need registrar level automation, some registrars like Dynadot provide APIs that can be used to fetch expired or auction domains programmatically.

In practice most dropcatch pipelines work like this:
  1. Pull daily zone files or droplist feeds
  2. Process them locally (Python / scripts)
  3. Filter by DP / backlinks / age
This avoids CAPTCHA entirely because the data comes through API or data feeds rather than manual downloads.
