You complained that all you got was a PSD;
Whoa, whoa whoa. Where are you getting this from? Go back and read my friend.
I made a simple statement (with no complaining or frowning):
"I've noticed a lot of designers are selling templates as PSD files only now"
Then I asked a simple question:
"Is there a good tutorial for turning a PSD layout into an actual HTML coded webpage with all the buttons and content areas working?"
Are you having a bad day or something? I didn't say anything negative with my first post. I just asked a question. I didn't even say I *bought* a psd template.
if that's not what you had in mind and now you're facing the dilemma of what to do next with it, then the so-called designer didn't deliver the goods.
I hope the keyword in that sentence is *if*. I haven't paid for anything or faced any dilemma.
I just stated what I was noticing and decided I wanted to learn more about turning PSD files into HTML files.
A web site design is exactly that, a full creation; otherwise it's simply a mockup. Even the laziest designers provide templates (home & inner fully sliced pages, images, HTML, CSS etc) and the so-called "pros" you have in mind only bother to give you a PSD?
I know exactly what a web design is.
I never said the so-called pros were only giving me a PSD file. I said I noticed "a lot of designers selling templates as PSD only files now".
I didn't say I hired one of these designers or that they didn't supply a fully coded template.
Relax, it's not all bad. Nobody is complaining except for you. Take a breath.
I just posted a statement and asked a question. I'll say it again, you shouldn't make assumptions.
