Great example of how a .mobi can be used. If I was sitting in my car in front of a house for sale and saw a .com address I would write it down and maybe check it out later if I remembered. If I see a .mobi address I know right away I can check it out on my cellphone.

I tell you, a company like that doesn't make that kind of investment without being sure that they're here to stay..... that's not to say that they will of course but it shows that they are confident & I'm sure they didn't come to feel confident without a lot of homework...

Excellent find.... I also had a mail shot today from 3 (the mobile phone network) about their mobile site.... it's accessed by default on there browser at 'my3' so no .mobi used but I don't buy all the concern about whether or not a .mobi extension is used..... for me its far more important that sites are developed specifically for mobile phones.... the extension will follow because there is no logic in it not.... even as a redirect to whatever other address they use..... as long as its a proper mobile site I get excited when I see one!

Lookie here. I think peeps are starting to understand that it's no good trying to view conventional PC formatted websites on mobiles, because they don't fit the screen. That's the answer I've gotten time and time again when I ask why they don't use their mobile for the internet.

People want fast, easy to use content for thier mobile. After all, that's what mobile is all about - a quick, 'on the go' experience.

Contrary to some popular recent television commercials from Apple, the mobile internet IS different than the PC internet, and content needs to be delivered to suit it. This is a prime example of that realization.
