doesn't seem legit seems as the same 2 bidders keep pushing it higher trying to get a 3rd party in there, once they do, they probably will drop like flies.

That kinda hence at my 'somewhat real' claim. Really, I doubt this will sell for $1,000 anytime soon. eBay is a place for cheapskates, trashy/worthless domains and ppl inflating domain prices in hopes that someone down the line would post something legit. This is still interesting to watch but chances of it being REAL aren't really existent.

Whois says Conventions.net owns it, so the bids are probably end users they notified of the auction.

I don't wanna say this is impossible, but it seems highly improbable to me. Sadly, much of the mass populace can't even spell "promotional" without a spellcheck, so this doesn't fall under easy to spell category (even if it does for you, lol) ... Not to mention other factors, a 19-character domain name sells for over $20k?

This just seems a bit far fetched, and if it's not, I wish I knew what he/she did to make this deal.

Any updates to this "sale" on eBay (as, historically, it seems that so many eBay domain name auctions do not come to fruition and/or involve some type of sham/hype/shill/bid tampering IMHO)? :blink:
