Following on from this thread I thought it would be a good idea to have a poll.

Show us what you think will be up and coming during 2007.

I voted.info and .mobi. I feel .tv will take a little longer and as for .asia ????

.info is growing like anything.

.info, .asia and .in IMO!

.in and .cn should continue to strengthen as the Indian and Chinese economies grow.

.us and .ca should continue to strengthen as .coms run out and companies seek alternatives.

.info is a great tld that just needs public awareness to increase, which is slowly happening.

The .cc is the best alternative to the .com - and that is what people will be looking for... the Cocos (Keeling) Islands signed over their rights to the .cc, making it truly universal.

IMHO, the .cc can't really be pinned up against cctlds like the .us because many cctlds have restrictions which make them less appealing on a global scale.

It's the the extensions without restrictions that will be the most successful... In my opinion.

I agree it's easily recgonized, a good alternative... but will it be treated as " truly universal" by search engines like .MOBI?

I'd still choose firstly .MOBI, and then .TV because of the recent promotion, finally .CC and .CA.

Dot .COM will always be king.

I didn't forget it. Just think that they are more suitable to specific areas/keywords, I have a few of them, too. And they fit perfectly.

.in and .mobi. The mobi-tld has showed a promising start. Among others .tv may gain some pace...

.info because

it has logical meaning in many languages
it flows natrually in langauge (some extensions seem more contrived or awkward)
the web is information.
it is just starting to get critical mass

I have been a .info fan for a long time. They can be nice when developed but the name is important. There is room for tremendous expansion here.

I think that .in/co.in and .us extensions time is coming.

.Mobi will take 2-3 years to kick in -- expansion of the true wi-fi/wimax broadband in all but the most remote areas will be the key here. With the exception of the most short/generic names the key here will be local like in real estate but instead of location,location,location it will be local interest,local interest,local interest. :imho: I own 2 .mobi -- 1 just for fun & the other is KCMO as in Kansas City MO and ready to sit on for...
