"Professional/Certified" Appraisals

Are these worth paying for? If did have a premium domain, wouldn't the domain be an appraisal for its self? I've never bought premium domains and was wondering for people that did/do buy them if they require professional appraisals?

I don't think any appraisal is worth it. Any interested buyer already has a price in mind.

If a buyer has $10K max available to spend, then a $50K appraisal means nothing.

And anyone pretending to be an expert in valuating domains from all market segments is doing just that -- pretending. We all have our areas of expertise and nobody is qualified or even capable of giving accurate appraisals in all market segments.

Those "professional appraisals" are worse than most NPers and Estibot give on average.

yea, for all you know they might be lurking here and requesting domain appraisals for free and others getting it with payment.
