Good evening. I have several domain names that I would like to get appraised. I would like to put them up for sale, but I am new to the domain name game and need some input from the pros.

adultwebmasterfreebies.com
affiliatebytes.com
affiliateprogramsexposed.com
designerhandbagsandaccessories.com
findmycheaphosting.com
findmycheapwebhosting.com
freemp3downloadsreview.com
freemusicdownloadsreview.com
getyourfreemusicdownloads.com
ipodics.com
webmasterfreebies.org

Any input from the pros or any one else would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time
Matt

Weclome Matt. Domains over 15 characters in length are generally considered a little long. Over 20 characters and it's not likely they will sell. Eleven characters is usually considered the sweet spot (though shorter is generally better). Don’t think you'll find a market for domains like designerhandbagsandaccessories.com. Search the web, there’s lots of info and rules of thumb on picking domain names.

Cheers,

Long domains are not likely to get you buyers.... unless they are with specific keywords that many people search for. I own many long names that noone wants to buy.... yet. If you develop a site, or get a parking page with "targeted content" search engines will pick it up. If you chose highly searched keywords in your name its easier to get type in traffic. Your domains pagerank will increase regaurdless of the name, and its value will increase if you have content. Its like property, you cant just own a stretch of desert. you have to build a house on it. You should buy names that are short, catchy, and easy for someone to make a company out of, unless you know how to setup websites and parked pages with content.

Post these names with a company like NameDrive.com You may find some make nothing and maybe one will make several dollars per month to pay for the reg fee and more.

I would say that anything making 50 cents per month is worth keeping because it will end up only costing you about a dollar or two a year extra to pay the reg fees.

Don't go out and spend $300 to get 50 more names similar to these until you first see what these can make (or lose--the more likely scenario) for you.
