Heyo :p

I'm getting a new computer pretty soon and I was looking at its stats, I'm not much of a tech guy and don't know everything about processors and such and wanted people opinion on if this is good or not.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103760

Also what would the processing speed be? Would each core be 2.0 or is it split as 1.0 each.

Also if you can find better deals on a processor then post em up :)

I bought the 3800x2 when it first came out (was $300USD) and it has been great. I have had it for about a year now. I would spend a little bit more and get maybe a 5200 dual core.

:tu:
Hey,
Quickly reply :o

I couldn't find a 5200 but I found 5400, little out of my price range :(

Most likely looking to spend max of $120 on the processor, max.

Edit: Found the 5200, little out of my price range at $300+

Floppy is a waste of money, they really aren't used anymore. I don't know about Vista.. I'm still using XP Pro, thinking of upgrading...

Thats what I'm thinking :hehe: , their only like $10 and I have a spare one from an old comp :). Yeah I'm thinking of just using windows xp pro.

I'll mostly be using my computer for school/gaming/internet :yell:

Your computer will be able to handle all 3. I'm currently using mine for everything, runs smooth on my new 320GB SATA HD. :)
Yeah thats all I'm really worrying about, I'm on my laptop now and I have massive lag even if I keep MSN and counter-strike open.

Also do you know if its 2.0 per core or is it split as like 1.0 a core.
