In June, Dan.com informed that I had to move my payment plan from them to escrow.domains because Dan.com was shutting down.
They said that they (dan) would cover the fees, so I'd even get a little more for the final 5 out of 60 payments.
I sold a one word .af domain for over 11k about 5 years ago in a payment plan. Buyer never missed a payment. Escrow.domains was responsible for getting the new owner on board. They didn't do a great job of communicating with buyer.
Then buyer paid June payment, but between Dan and escrow.domains, they took forever to take control of the domain, so it sat for weeks. I had to regularly remind them to move forward. Finally they took control of the domain and were going to release the first payment.
The buyers payment was about 215. My payment used to be 174. Instead of the whole 215 as promised, they were going to make $182 payments to me. Still more than I was getting, so ok. When they sent it by ACH, they only sent $162, taking, but not documenting $20.
I asked them if they had contacted the buyer to assure them that everything was ok. They said they would. I haven't received another payment yet. July and August have been skipped and the September due date is approaching. They haven't contacted me or left notes about news from the buyer. I just want the last 4 payments, not to take the domain back.
I wrote to Dan to find out what the original agreement was so that I could hold escrow.domains to it. Today I got an email that it was out of their hands, but they did me the favor of copying escrow.domains on their response so that they could answer.
I'm disappointed in both Dan.com and escrow.domains. Anyone have experience getting them to do what they are supposed to do?
Bottom line, went from nearly 5 years of on time payments to 3 months behind and when I do get money it is less than I'm supposed to get.
