Are there any users of Escrow.domains' escrow service here for selling and brokering domains?

Escrow.com used to be the most popular option, especially for brokering, but now we face several issues:

  1. High fees
  2. Double fees for concierge service
  3. Slow service—verification and other processes can take weeks
  4. Delays in support
  5. No payout options through PayPal or Wise; only bank wire transfers
Epik.com initially seemed like a relief, but it ended up being a scam with our funds.

Is anyone here using Escrow.domains?

  1. What are your likes and dislikes about Escrow.domains?
  2. How did you cash out your sales income?
  3. Is there confidentiality when you broker?
  4. Do you trust them?
  5. What would you like them to add to their service?
Let’s share our opinions and experiences about alternatives to Escrow.com.

I have a personal favorite that I prefer over Escrow.com and Escrow.domains, but unfortunately, many big buyers and sellers are reluctant to use it because they are unaware of it.

That is Daaz.com. It is fast and smooth, like Dan.com, and offers broker options and multiple payout methods.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I’m in the middle of a transaction with them right now and so far so good.

I’d personally like a little more communication as they work through each stage of the process (buyer KYC, funds received etc) but other than that all good.

Here you have the fee calculator, from what I see it is 1-3% for most common transactions.

Do they have the same requirements as escrow.com, i.e. require sending an ID scan?

Yes you need to complete KYC.

My buyer is paying in crypto from China and they did a video call as part of it. I think I just did a drivers license.

Thanks, I'll stick to European escrow services then.

Sedo. 3% escrow fee (can be paid by buyer, seller, or shared), no KYC for either side, but you need to issue the invoice* for the buyer, so best to find out beforehand if there is VAT applicable and adjust the price accordingly. Other than that, good and reliable service.

(*) I always sold as a company; honestly I don't know how it works for natural persons; when I bought from non-companies I usually got some pdf "bill" after asking, but accounting usually cared more about the paypal/wire confirmation, so maybe that's not needed at all, depends a lot on local laws I suppose.
