Problem

First I got my skin on to my phpbb forum but i decided I didnt like the skin. I stupidly deleted it from ftp and then it started giving me an error. When I went I thought it was going to changeg back to default. It didnt so I reinstalled it so now its on default. So im trying to put my new one on threw ftp but every time i go to public html forum template when i click template it says 550 Can't change directory to /public_html/forums/templates: No such file or directory


im just trying to put the skin on there so I can install it. And i cant get into templates section..

Hey why don't you send me with a pm of the link to the skin, your ftp info, and then I can do it for you. Just setup a temporary password for the ftp connection through CPanel. If you could just throw me some rep or tiny NP$ that would be nice, but not necessary.

Okay, so I just uploaded the folder for your skin. If you go into administrative panel on PHPBB you can now install the skin. I can do it for you if you set me up an admin account to temporarily mess with it. If not I can run you threw it. I also sent an email confirming this. Please add to my rep/NP$ if possible.

I just sent you an email, but I have updated it. You installed it correctly. I changed it in the control panel so visitors and yourself both have the new design. Thanks for the NP$, it is really appreciated. If you update my trader rating, I will update yours.

Here is what you do:

1) Download the folder for skin
2) Unzip it
3) Pull out the main folder (usually within 2 folders) (main folder has all the files in it)
4) Upload that to www/forums/templates/
5) Go to administrative panel and install it
6) Go to the area where you edit time zone and name and stuff and there should be a drop down for skin (pick the new one)
7) Then to change yours go to your control panel (where you edit name and personal info) and change the skin the dropdown box

Skins won't change for people that are in the forum already. It will show the new skin until they login. They can change it in their preferences....

First off, you will have to learn that whatever you are programming, you hav to always keep a backup of it..!

O ya and computer guy i knew that but it wouldnt let me into templates section on ftp for some reason..

In other words just make sure your forum is backed up in another location.
