Hello,

i want to sell 2 domains at flippa. They are registered at internet.bs and have a private whois.

Flippa wants to verify that im the legitimate owner. So there are 2 possibilities. They find an email in they know is mine in my whois or they find a txt-record i added.

The first solution cant work because of the private whois so i added the txt-record. I added it weeks ago so it should have been populated. But flippa cant find it. The flippa-support cant help me. And the support of internet.bs can only tell me that i created the txt-record successfully and cant help me further.

I checked it myself at network-tools.com/nslook/Default.asp and cant find the txt-record either.

So whats the problem? The private whois?

Thanks!
Sebastian

The private whois is not related to your DNS.

If you just updated the DNS with your TXT record, perhaps the changes haven't had a chance to fully propogate yet

temporarily change nameservers to a free service, like mydomain.com

set the txt and see if flippa can read it

Thanks for answering... the problem was on my side. I created the txt-record wrong.

Yesterday after another chat with the support of internet.bs i got an email from them where they told me that they took another look at my entry and i had created it wrong.

I created the record after the manuals from flippa and tried to create the txt-record with:
*.domain.com and with @.domain.com

That was wrong. After taking out the sign the txt-record only contained
.domain.com

and flippa verified the domain 2 seconds after i saved this change...

Finally i can try to sell the domains... :)

Love to know what i'm doing wrong. They always end up having to just veirfy my listing manually. 4th one. Usually takes 3-4 days to get a reply and then another day to take action
