Problem transfering from Netfirms to GoDaddy

Is anyone here familiar with Netfirms?

I need an authorization code from the current domain owner. Apparently Netfirms wasn't being too helpful through email, and then told him on the phone that the best way would be to give me control over the domain.... Whatever that means... The entire hosting account?

So he sent me the password to the account (this is the only domain on it), but I'm not seeing any way to transfer this thing out.

Yes, I just recently had the same exact problem. I bought 1 domain from a member, It was at Netfirms, and I wanted it in my GoDaddy account. He wasnt able to do it. I thought he was blowing me off. I called netfirms, and they wanted all of my account info (Username, and Password) or all of his! Imagine if I had a bunch of names in there???!!! So, luckily it was only that one domain, I had nothing to lose by giving the seller my info, I figured at least he could psh it into my new Netfirms account. Nope. So after a couple of calls to Netfirms, then a call to my rep at GoDaddy, My rep from GoDaddy was able to get everything situated, and Voila! what a relief. I would call netfirms, and get your email code, then call GoDaddy, give them that code, pay for your renewal, then let a GoDaddy Rep do it for you, AND less headaches for you!

I used to have a couple of domains with Netfirms and I never had any problems with transferring them away. No need to email or phone support for auth code. Access it yourself in the control panel.

Access your Netfirms controlpanel and login. https://controlpanel.netfirms.com/en-us/cp_login_form

Go to Domains --> Admin --> DNS admin (From there you can access your Domain Auth Code). Remember to UN LOCK the domain as well if you are transferring it out of Netfirms.
