Is anybody having problems with Encirca following the relaunch of .pro? My renewal fees are still showing as $75 and not the $59.99 announced and I can't switch my .pros into my own name.

funnily Video.pro shows this expiration date: 2011-02-23. This means encirca gives a 3-year opportunity to the previous owner to renew the name :)

What a thoughtful registrar, I shouldn't worry about renewing my .pros, 10 or 20 years later they will give that opportunity to me.
Hmmm were they trained by Network Solutions by any chance :D

Has anybody heard anything from Encirca or RegistryPro re verification. Tom Barratt said he'd email me back about 3 days ago but hasn't, I spoke to Encirca support 2 days ago, they said they would look into it and call me back but they haven't contacted me, I sent my AV verfication via the email link I got sent 2 days ago and haven't heard anything, chased twice so far.

When you consider I'm probably Encirca's biggest .pro customer and they aren't helping me at all, I'd strongly advise anybody thinking of registering .pro to register with DomainPeople at $19.99.

Paying $24.99 at Encirca is risky, they are blocking existing customers from transferring their .pros into their own name and charging $75 versus the current $19.99 DomainPeople reg fee to renew while they hold their customers ProForwarded domains hostage. It's a disgrace and I've reported it to ICANN, they should lose their registrar license.

4 days are passing and I've not got a verification link, all my domains from 8 Sept are inactive. I wonder what's the problem as Netsol .pros regged 8 Sept are active already.

My understanding of how self certification was meant to work is you get a fully functioning domain in your own name, you give your professional details to the registrar or the registry and if they want to retrospectively question them they can. This would work the same way Afilias question trademark based applications for .info domains in 2001.

My understanding is based on what I've been told during the live support chat with Encirca staff. My domains are inactive because I should get an email concerning my selfcertification. After I respond to this email, it'll be validated and my domains will be active. I am waiting for this email almost 4 days already but as I remember I've paid for registration period starting from Sept 8 (registration means also active domain for me)!!

Afterwards, I've registered some .pros with DomainPeople, next day get emails - all names are active.
Still waiting for Encirca action - is it a RegistryPro now or Encirca should send them any additional info? I thought this is automatic - when domain is regged and info available via Whois, they should send me an AV email for confirmation!?

i think it's done by registrar, then they pass along the info.
