It's probably no surprise to many NamePros members as to who is kicking major butt with their official campaign website :) But in case you aren't aware of which presidential candidate is taking the internet by storm check out the official Alexa Traffic Rankings:

Nope, it's not Mitt:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/mittromney.com

It's not Rudy:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/joinrudy2008.com

It's not Hillary:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/hillaryclinton.com

It's not Obama either:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/barackobama.COM

Yep, by a huge margin it's Ron Paul:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/RONPAUL2008.COM

Here is a comparison chart to show how they all stack up:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/t....com&y=r&z=3&h=300&w=610&range=7d&size=Medium

Ron Paul's traffic rank in America is 766 meaning only 765 other sites in America are receiving more traffic. The only competitor that is remotely close is Barack Obama with a 2364 Alexa American ranking.

Food for thought.......

Good post.
Never really realized how much of a internet presence Ron Paul has over everyone else. Seems his catering to the "tech" sector is obviously paying off.

Rep added.

Cheers,

I don't think Paul is catering to the Internet audience at all.

Because of the information available and the level of free speech that the Internet possesses, the people "found" Paul. It was unexpected for Paul and his campaign. :)

But it's great to see Paul's online growth. :tu:

Hopefully he'll put the $18 million he's raised off the internet in the last 3 months to good use :hehe:

He is the only politician I would trust my money with. That is why I donated :)

It says a lot when a politican returns the unused portion of his budget every year. I sure hope he gets elected, this country needs him.

Today's the day, if any, to prove that the rEVOLution is real. I think Paul will take 3rd at the VERY LEAST (maybe 2nd if enough Iowa Paulites show up).

I hope and pray that McCain comes in 4th or 5th. Maybe then he'll just go away.

BTW, Fox News has banned Dr. Paul from the New Hampshire debates, the bastards. http://www.alternet.org/mediaculture/72418/

It was very unfair to ban Paul (and even Hunter) from the debates. Looks like the mainstream media would rather choose our candidates for us! :td:

Let Ron Paul and others debate (here on Saturday evening), I say! :yell:

Iowa prediction: John Edwards barely nips out Clinton and Obama (#3/D) ... :lala:

NH prediction: McCain takes it over Romney (#2/R), Edwards remains strong (but not #1/D)! :music:

Goodbye to good friends ... Fred Thompson, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd! :snaphappy:
We hardly knew 'ye ...

Don't forget Bill Richardson. :p

CNN is reporting a Huckabee landslide victory, with Romney, Thompson, and McCain ranking behind. Obama is ahead, but barely.

I'm ideologically opposite of Ron Paul but I have to respect the online work his supporters have done.

I know on a few get paid to sites, like AdBux, there are frequently get paid to ads to his site. That drives a lot of traffic.

That story is interesting because it seems that both Richardson and Kucinich asked their supporters to choose Obama as a second choice... and that might have made the difference in him winning.

Too bad Alexa ranks don't win elections.

I agree.

It seems as he is playing off the independents and un decided voters.

Yeah, Edwards definitely made his run in Iowa and closely nipped out Clinton (but for 2nd place, not 1st) ... Clinton, trust me, will bounce back in NH!

Obama is up the street from me right now, actually ... good, energized #1 showing in Iowa. Both he and Edwards will have their hands full here (with the Clinton brigade) in New Hampshire on Tuesday, IMHO.

McCain is super strong here in NH ... Romney can be guaranteed another 2nd place finish, in my view. Giuliani is wating for Florida, Michigan, and the rest - he's all done, along with Fred Thompson, Iowa's evangelical winner Huckabee, and the remining contenders both Republican and Dem's.

See you next on Tuesday evening! :gl:

ROFL - The article never said he was banned. On top of that the O'Conner, the writer, said he was willing to pitch in to rent a bigger place to accomadate all of the candidates. So maybe with all the money Paul raised should help pitch in for a bigger place so he can be seen and heard. And he wasnt the only one that was not invited or allowed to be in the debate.

The New Hampshire GOP pulled their support from the debate because Hunter and Paul weren't included. If it were that big of a deal, they could have changed facilities.

Paul earned nearly triple Giuliani's votes in Iowa. Fox is removing Paul's name from AP articles.

How does MSNBC explain this?

In the opening minutes of the Paul-less debate, Fox told viewers that one of those five candidates would become the Republican nominee. Nice of Fox to choose for us!

Well we can thank the media/politicians and the passing of The Fairness Act that prevents all candidates of appearing on debates. Up until about 1980 we could have as many candidates on a debate. Now since the shift went to the media to pick and choose who will debate on their shows will only limit the voters to rightful information. Maybe Paul should hone in on this and bring it to the limelight.
