As number of available LLLL.net made from English premium letter only (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M,
N, O, P, R, S, T) constantly decreasing I think it's right time to start this countdown.
Right now there's around 8100 available names.
At the end of August number was 10600.
At current registration pace it's safe to assume that all of them will be gone by New Year/January
2016, as speed usually increase when under 5000 names left.
Few fact to keep in mind:
1. Lowest market price for worst quality LLLL.com currently is $120-130, which is higher than it was in
2008 when premium LLLL.net buyout first happened.
2. Bottom floor price for English premium LLLL.com is $350-450, that puts targer price for English
premium LLLL.net at $17-22 taken 5% of LLLL.com price.
3. All Chinese pattern LLLL.net were bought out in July and just in two month their price skyrocketed
4-6 times all the way up to $35-40 a piece.
4. All Chinese LLLL.cc were recently bought out as well.
5. All CVCV LLLL.net and premium VCVC.net were bought out and currently being picked up from drop.
You can check list of remaining English Premium LLLL.net here:

Cheapest registration is at BigRock.com and Reseller Club $5 for .net
Alernative is Dynadot $6 and $GoDaddy $7.

90% of LLLL.com sales reported in recent days on LLLLsales.com are above $190 (only 18 of 183 below that Nov 2-4). At 10% valuation that puts the value of any LLLL.net at $19, and $9.50 at 5% valuation. I believe this is why the buyout happened now. The worst LLLL.net were undervalued at reg fee.

All GoDaddy Closeout have been wiped.
Zero LLLL.net left at $5-11 + renewal
Now there's bids at $12+ at several names:

vanz.net - $30 + renewal
rirr.net - $45 + renewal
ninj.net - $12 + renewal
icyc.net- $12 + renewal
dioc.net- $12 + renewal
idii.net- $12 + renewal
ogov.net- $12 + renewal
comy.net- $12 + renewal
sexv.net- $12 + renewal
gvsn.net- $12 + renewal
dmia.net - $27+ renewal

Unless you have DDC renewal cost $12

From what I remember it took 1,5 month for net chips to reach this level of prices after buyout.

It must be annoying. I hope it does not become a habit.

Having the LLLL.net version of your LLLL.com may actually make sense though. Especially if prices of LLLL.com keep increasing.

I mean I know LLL.com investors that are protecting the value of their investment purchasing the corresponding LLL.co (at least I imagine that it is the reason), so it seems reasonable that one day, if the price of LLLL.com reached higher levels, having the LLLL.net too would be a sort of insurance as you removed to a potential buyer the second best choice available.

Protecting the reg as a seller... works with very short domains: LLL.com I guess.

With LLLL unless it's a word, makes no sense to have the .net version as a seller. In fact the .net reg being held by someone-else makes the .com stronger.

What you think should I do, write on the forum about it or may be write the president?

Since you're asking, don't write on the forum...you can write to Putin. And good luck with it.

Why to Putin, did he helped you before? I don't catch your logic here.

Anyway it sounds pretty idiotic that someone who owns the .com sent out letters to .net owner, after they saw .net was registered and .com not even approached (they could get an idea, that person who bought .net has no end-user interest in it and owns many domains = domain investor).

But apparently this nasty spammer Steven L. Young who prefers to hide under Scott York alias just doesn't know how to check whois, only how to spam, or too lazy. Here's few of many letters I received from [email protected] begging me to bid on their precious .com

Does anyone have info on the main registrants that contributed to the LLLL.net buyout? It is individuals or companies? If individuals, are they known on Chinese domains forums?

I'm really really surprised since I can't find any interview/info on any of them. I would be very very curious to know more about their profile and goals.

All 50 non-Chips LLLL.net that dropped today were immediately registered or dropcaught.

7 ended at Dynadot, the rest at Chinese registrars and few others. That brings my memory back to mid-August, when it all started with Net Chips.

Only three made it to hand reg today, all reg'd in under 5 seconds of drop: gpia, thuo and otei.

Dropcatch only from now on I think.
