As number of available LLLL.net made from English premium letter only (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M,
N, O, P, R, S, T) constantly decreasing I think it's right time to start this countdown.
Right now there's around 8100 available names.
At the end of August number was 10600.
At current registration pace it's safe to assume that all of them will be gone by New Year/January
2016, as speed usually increase when under 5000 names left.
Few fact to keep in mind:
1. Lowest market price for worst quality LLLL.com currently is $120-130, which is higher than it was in
2008 when premium LLLL.net buyout first happened.
2. Bottom floor price for English premium LLLL.com is $350-450, that puts targer price for English
premium LLLL.net at $17-22 taken 5% of LLLL.com price.
3. All Chinese pattern LLLL.net were bought out in July and just in two month their price skyrocketed
4-6 times all the way up to $35-40 a piece.
4. All Chinese LLLL.cc were recently bought out as well.
5. All CVCV LLLL.net and premium VCVC.net were bought out and currently being picked up from drop.

When I sold .com chips to buy .net chips in September for 100% ROI I was sure that it was good decision, but now when floor is $2000 I'm don't know what to think.

Well, net chips are definitely up a much greater percentage since September than regular chips, no? So if you held your net chips, and had spent all your proceeds from selling chips on net chips, than that would be a wise choice today, I think. What were net chips in September? $30? So, it's a 400% return at least I would say. I don't think regular chips are up anywhere near 400% since September. Maybe they're up 150%? But if you sold those net chips quick that is a different story.

Regarding LLLL.net it's little early to sell now imho unless you fine with 100-150% ROI, but I understand people who do it.

Agree with the idea of selling regular chips and investing on .net chips. Very wise and brave decision..
Interestingly people do opposite.. They sell lower value assets to get higher values to be safe.. However when you go to safer seat you will have less profit.. There is always more profit when you take more risks.

Also agree LLLL.nets are still undervalued and have more potential to grow.

I did the same too and I also sold some 4L.com domains and invest into 4L.net domains because I think the regular 4L.com are near to it's highest reseller price where reselling margin will be slimmer with every sale and in .net the game not yet start so we have a chance to make good investment for high ROI. so either we go down or all the way to the top.

4N.net chips - %52 up
4N.net regular - %69 up

5N.com chips - %85 up
5N.com regular - %31 up
5N.net chips - %142 up
5N.net regular - %172 up

LLLL.com chips - %90 up
LLLL.com regular - %65 up
LLLL.net chips - %70 up
LLLL.net regular - no change - recently buyout happend

Obviously you see there is a room for regular LLLL.net more to grow..

Nowadays people do not look at to the age of domain, pattern is more important in the price. Domain age will be important if you build website on it.

On the other hand, as we see on Chaomi price list today;

LLLL.com chips 14879 yuan
LLLL.net chips 1480 yuan - precisely %10 of LLLL.com chips.

where as
LLLL.com regular 2299 yuan
LLLL.net regular 51 yuan - just %2 of LLLL.com regular

These stats shows, LLLL.net.chips prices are normalized and reach to %10 level. However LLLL.net regular is still more way to go. Should be about 229 yuan which is like $38, everything below this price i would call it cheap.. we will see soon...
